Welcome to our Sheffield Northern General NHS Clinic 

For the past 25 years, we at Blatchford have provided a fully managed Prosthetic and Orthotic service to the people of South Yorkshire, parts of East and West Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.  The centre consists of modern clinic rooms, interactive childrens clinic room, a fully equipped workshop, scanning room, physiotherapy gym and assessment courtyard. 

The team consists of Specialist Rehabilitation Consultants,  Prosthetists, Orthotists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Amputee Nurse and Workshop Manager, all supported by a dedicated team of Assistant Practitioners, Technicians and Administrators.  The core of our service operates from the Mobility Centre at the Northern General Hospital, with weekly clinics held in Diabetes department, both here and at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, a daily childrens clinic at the Sheffield Childrens Hospital and a number of childrens schools clinics.

Referral Process

Referrals to Prosthetics are made through the surgical team following amputation, physiotherapists or through GP's. 

Referral to Orthotics can be made from different departments within the hospital, community care teams or GP's.
