Blatchford has been the Prosthetic and Orthotic provider at the Sussex Rehabilitation Centre in Brighton since 2017. We provide the prosthetic and orthotic services, working with the NHS. The service covers the whole of Sussex.
The purpose of the service is to enable patients with upper and lower limb loss to achieve and sustain maximum possible mobility, dexterity and independence.

We will provide, manufacture and maintain your prosthesis and assist with
We also provide orthotic (surgical) appliances to patients attending the clinics at the centre and an in-ward unit at the Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath.
For prosthetic care, a referral would normally be made by your consultant. You may have physiotherapy at the Sussex Rehab Centre or your local hospital. For your prosthetic care you will be seen at the Sussex Rehabilitation centre and the MDT team (consultant, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, prosthetist) will assess you.
If you are moving to the area and wish to transfer your care here, please contact us and inform your existing centre.
For orthotic care, a consultant, GP or other healthcare professional would refer you specifically for the care of our consultants.
