Blatchford is the first and only company to design and manufacture the world’s only integrated lower limb system, the Linx, with Performance Response Technology®, the next generation of biomimetic prosthetics. Biomimicry is a practice that learns from and mimics the strategies found in nature to solve human design challenges.

The Linx behaves more like a real leg than anything else in the industry. It does the "thinking" for the amputee; with multiple sensors giving coordinated communication between the foot and knee. 

Linx senses the wearer’s movement so that the amputee does not have to even think about the steps they are going to take.

Microprocessor-Controlled Knee (MPK)

Orion3 is a hybrid hydraulic/pneumatic MPK that responds in a proportionate and natural way for great stability, and smooth, easy, more comfortable walking.

  • Programming is quick and simple in just two minutes, with extra fine-tuning if required.
  • It offers variable cadence and progressively increases resistance as it flexes to help down stairs or as you sit. 
  • It switches to stumble recovery mode the moment the knee stops flexing.
  • Long battery life of 3 days and magnetic charging connector

Microprocessor-Controlled Ankle/Feet (MPF)

Our microprocessor-controlled hydraulic ankle (MPF), Elan helps take the effort out of being an amputee by mimicking natural PF/DF muscle resistance and ankle motion in real time.

  • Constantly monitors and adapts resistance to speed and terrain.
  • Uniquely assists up slopes and brakes downhill, improving symmetry and reducing energy expenditure.
  • The hydraulic ankle self aligns to the ground, reduces socket pressures, improves posture, balance and reduces the risk of falls.
  • Excellent choice for bilateral amputees.

Our other microprocessor-controlled hydraulic ankle we have designed and manufacture is the ElanIC. It is a new addition to the product line and offers two functional improvements to the original version

  • Uniquely assists up slopes and brakes downhill, improving symmetry and reducing energy expenditure.
  • The hydraulic ankle self-aligns to the ground, reduces socket pressures, improves posture, balance and reduces the risk of falls.
  • It’s the most compact and light MPF on the market
  • Induction charging - no plugs to manage, simply place the charger on the back of the ankle
