From training to everyday life, Julian Gonzalez is always on the move
For Julian Gonzalez, living with limb difference has always been part of his life. Born with amniotic band syndrome, movement has consistently played a vital role in shaping how he approaches both everyday tasks and athletic pursuits. As a boxer, footwork and coordination are crucial, making the right prosthetic solution an essential aspect of his lifestyle.

Julian was introduced to Blatchford through his clinician, Eugene Silva. From the first appointment, he felt comfortable and supported, building trust in the process and confidence that his prosthetic solutions were being tailored to his specific needs - both athletic and everyday.
Adapting to the Elite Blade
After transitioning to the Blatchford Elite Blade, Julian noticed a clear difference in how he moved. The responsiveness and energy return of the blade support smooth, controlled movement during training, helping him stay light on his feet while maintaining balance through rapid changes in direction.

In boxing, I want to go as far as I can in the sport in the amateur scene. Ultimately, I do it for the love of it, but I also hope to show others through my activity in this sport that anyone could do it, even an amputee.
Confidence Beyond the Ring
The Elite Blade has also changed how Julian moves throughout his day. Before, discomfort often led him to avoid wearing his prosthetic at home, often opting to hop instead. At work in a fast‑paced environment, he found himself slowing down due to a foot that wasn’t built for continuous movement.
With the Elite Blade, Julian feels more comfortable wearing his prosthesis throughout the day and more confident keeping pace - whether at home, at work, or during training.
Looking Ahead
Julian continues to pursue boxing in the amateur scene, motivated by his love for the sport and a desire to push himself as far as he can. Beyond competition, his goal is to show others that amputation does not have to limit ambition or activity.
